Diaverum appoints the organisational culture expert Kirsty Bashforth as its first ever Chief People and Communications Officer.

Kirsty brings a wealth of global experience in safety-focused, high-hazard environments having spent 24 years in BP plc, in roles spanning oil trading to strategic marketing and operations management.

Kirsty is founder and CEO of QuayFive Ltd, where she advises business leaders on organisational culture, and author of “Culture Shift: a practical guide to organisational culture” which was published by Bloomsbury in 2019 and a finalist in the Business Book Awards 2020. Currently a non-executive director of Diaverum, she steps down from this role on 31st July 2020 and joins the Executive Committee of Diaverum on 1st August 2020, based in Hyllie. She will remain on the boards of Serco Group plc and PZ Cussons plc in the UK.

Kirsty's extensive experience and drive chime perfectly with Diaverum's culture of true care and Diaverum’s three core values of competence, passion and inspiration - providing life enhancing renal care and empowering patients to live fulfilling lives.

Commenting on her new role, Kirsty said “It’s a privilege to join the team shaping Diaverum's future within the rapidly evolving health market. Diaverum is For Life! and I’m relishing the opportunity to lead the people and engagement agendas of this purpose-driven global organisation in the years ahead. I know the company well from being on the board, and I can’t wait to roll my sleeves up and get started.”

Dimitris Moulavasilis, Diaverum CEO commented:

“Today’s healthcare market changes in an ever-increasing speed: the move towards value-based healthcare and digitalisation, the emerging use of AI and the role of data are fundamental to a sustainable model. In Diaverum these are core elements of our strategy; they require structural shifts, but also a cultural evolution and an integrated approach to people, culture and brand.

I am delighted to announce that Kirsty Bashforth is joining Diaverum as Chief People and Communication Officer. I am sure that her work in Culture, her multiyear experience in global listed companies and her energy and drive will be a major contribution to Diaverum’s growth agenda.”
